About Amerindea

Country Roads

Belinda Anderson is one of West Virginia's best living authors. Ms Anderson writes about people that could live next door to you, people with problems, hopes and dreams, but Ms Anderson lets you see the magic underneath the facade her characters present to the world. You can know the people of Southern West Virginia in the stories of Belinda Anderson. You will meet some of the people again in each book, so enjoy all three of these great books.

Belinda Anderson writes from her log home, which sits atop a knoll in the mountains of West Virginia. More accurately, she writes when she's not busy chasing away the deer that snack on her rhododendron bushes. A former newspaper reporter, she holds a master's degree in liberal arts studies from Hollins University. Her literary work was selected for inclusion on the first official literary map of West Virginia, published by Fairmont State University. Belinda's fiction also has received national recognition, including awards for several of the short stories first collected in The Well Ain't Dry Yet, now in its second printing by Mountain State Press. Belinda leads creative writing workshops and presents readings to children and adults in classrooms and at retreats and conferences. "We are enriched by the creative acts of reading and writing," she says. "Reading engages our imagination and writing gives us the opportunity to connect with one another."
